Tanner Intensive Program for Behavioral Change (TIP) is a community-based partial-hospitalization program that provides comprehensive services to children

(age 8 to 12) or adolescents (age 13 to 17) who have sexually offended.  TIP patients are typically referred by their families, the juvenile court, or DFCS.  Separate male and female groups are available.  Length of treatment is typically six to eight months, with youth attending a combination of group, family, and individual therapies four hours per weekday, 10a-2p in the summer or 4p-8p during the school year.  Medication, drug screens, lab work (if needed), a meal, and transportation are provided.  Routine polygraph examinations are administered.   In-home risk assessments and school safety plans, conducted by the Victim Prevention Specialist, help therapists establish an individualized plan for treatment and supervision.

Safe Teens Outpatient Program (STOP) is the treatment group alternative for children (ages 8 to 12) or adolescents (ages 13-17) who have displayed sexually inappropriate behavior, but have not have been charged with a sexual offense or the charged offense is of a relatively minor degree (e.g., sexual harassment, inappropriate touching/grabbing).  Separate male and female groups are available.  The program lasts for approximately six to eight weeks, with youth attending four hours per weekday, 10am-2pm in the summer or 4-8pm during the school year.  Meals, transportation, and family sessions are offered.
